I am the Allyn R. and Gladys M. Cline Professor of Economics and a Faculty Scholar at the Center for Public Finance of Rice’s Baker Institute for Public Policy at Rice University and an International Research Fellow at the Centre for Business Taxation at Oxford University. My research interests are tax policy and tax reform in the United States and in developing countries, state and local public finance, and computable general equilibrium models of the effects of tax reforms. A collection of my research was recently published as Taxation in Theory and Practice: Selected Essays of George R. Zodrow. My latest book is Advanced Introduction to Taxation, which is part of the Edward Elgar Publishing Advanced Introductions Series. Both books are featured at the menu tabs provided above.
